A car was blown up during the night to Sunday in a residential area in Karlstad.
The alarm of a strong explosion in the Rud area came just before 01.
– When we arrived at the scene, a car was found that had been blown up. I can’t say exactly how much damage there is to the car, but it’s a big bang, says Mathilda Borgström, officer on duty at the police.
No injured people have been found and at the moment there are no suspects in the explosion.
– The place is cordoned off pending the national bomb protection and we have patrols with dogs on site. We haven’t had to evacuate any homes, says Borgström.
