The next Community Day is just around the corner in Pokémon GO. We’ll show you all the important information and how to make the most of it.
What kind of event is this? Community Day is a regularly recurring event that takes place once a month in its regular form and once in the “Classic” version. In each case, there is a Pokémon that is the focus of the event.
In addition to a very high spawn rate of the Pokémon, you can also look forward to a greatly increased shiny chance at the event. There are also several bonuses that are active during a Community Day.
In July 2024, Zapplardin will be the star of the Community Day. The Pokémon from the 5th generation is an electric type. It can evolve into Zapplalek and then into Zapplarang.

Community Day in July 2024 with Zapplardin – Start & Bonuses of the Event
When? Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Exclusive Attack: Instant attack Volt Switch for Zapplarang if you evolve Zapplalek into Zapplarang by 22:00 at the latest
Bonuses:
– Increased shiny chance for Zapplardin
– Double Catch Candy
– Double chance to get XL Candy when catching Pokémon

Additional content during Community Day: There will be 4* raids that you can complete between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Zapplalek will be waiting for you. If you successfully complete such a raid, more Zapplardin will appear around the arena for 30 minutes.
You cannot participate in these raids with remote raid passes, but only directly at the arena.
A free limited-time research will be available from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. During this time, you can obtain four Unova Stones, which you need to develop Zapplarang.

Who benefits from Community Day with Zapplardin?
For collectors: If you are a shiny hunter and you are still missing Zapplardin and its evolutions, the event is the perfect opportunity to get the Pokémon and its evolutions. Due to the greatly increased shiny chance, it should not be a problem to get the Pokémon as a shiny.
For fighters: Unfortunately, Zapplardin and its evolutions are not strong Pokémon. They are not suitable for use in the battle leagues, nor are they among the strongest attackers in raids in Pokémon GO.
The perfect preparation for Community Day in July 2024
Make space: You should make enough space in your Pokémon Box for Community Day so that you can catch the large number of Zapplardin without major interruptions.
If your Pokémon box becomes full during the event and you need to make room, you can use a simple trick to quickly sort out Pokémon.
