McLaren’s Lando Norris took pole position at the Hungarian GP. Sergio Perez missed the opening section again.

The second driver of the Red Bull F1 team Sergio Perez failed to qualify again, this time at the Hungarian GP. The Mexican missed the opening section of qualifying for the fourth time this season. Perez spun into the wall and starts the race from grid 16.

Valtteri Bottas reached box 12. For the Sauber driver, the result is a positive surprise, as the Finn and the entire team’s season has been weak. A stable mate Zhou Guanyu starts Sunday’s race from square 18.

Mercedes was also among the failures of qualifying George Russelwho, like Perez, stayed in the opening section.

The successful ones were the McLarens. Lando Norris drove into a pole and Oscar Piastri second. The team has not conquered the front row for 12 years.
