The European Open, the top frisbee golf tournament played in Finland, had to be stopped on Friday due to a thunderstorm.

The European Open, the top frisbee golf tournament in Nokia and Tampere, had to be stopped on Friday due to a thunderstorm. The game was interrupted three times due to weather conditions, and in the end it was decided to continue the competition in the second round of the open class on Saturday morning in Tampere.

Due to schedule delays, the round starting at seven in the morning in Tampere will be played without an audience.

– This was the first round in my career that had to be interrupted no less than three times. The suspension poses challenges at this stage as this was an entry fee event, race director Jussi Meresmaa said.

– We regret the situation. Mother Nature threw such a challenge, which we can’t handle at this point, but stretch.
