The head coach of the Danish national football team left

Kasper Hjulmand was Denmark’s head coach for four years.

Head coach of the Danish men’s national football team Kasper Hjulmand leave his job. He managed to serve as the head coach of the national team for four years.

– It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as the head coach of the national team. When I think about the World Cup in two years, I think it’s best for the team now that a new person and new ideas step into the ring. It’s not about me, it’s about the team, Hjulmand said.

Morten Wieghorst serves as the interim head coach of the national team.

Under Hjulmand, Denmark achieved 1.93 points per game in 54 international matches. Denmark reached the semi-finals of the 2021 European Championship. At the World Cup in Qatar, the team missed the group stage, and at this summer’s European Championship, the result was a loss to Germany in the quarterfinals.
