They get 25 degrees this weekend here it will

The Swedish summer often contains bright sun and high temperatures initially followed by rain, rain and more rain.

That’s how it has looked this year as well. Initially, the whole country was treated to a really high pressure, which then eased off just in time for midsummer. Since then, the weather has offered heavy rain showers, thunder and floods.

SMHI issued weather warnings this week

Recently, SMHI issued a yellow warning in several parts of the country for torrential rains that threatened to cause flooding. The areas that the warning mainly concerned were then Norrköping, Örebro, Eskilstuna, Falun and Rättvik.

But before the weekend came the turn. The sun and summer heat would return.

SMHI told earlier this week to News24 that high pressure was coming in just in time for the weekend and temperatures of up to 25 degrees would prevail over several areas.

SMHI: This is how the weather will be this weekend

During Friday, many people woke up to sun and warmer weather than we have seen recently. But the question then is where the high pressure will be felt the most, and how hot can it be this weekend?

SMHI’s meteorologist Sofia Söderberg now tells Nyheter24 that the change will be felt in several places. But that the forecast that was initially predicted can sway a bit.

– There is a weak high-pressure situation this weekend across the country. During Friday we have some low pressure in the far north. During Saturday, the high pressure will be over the whole country. From time to time, changing cloud cover with changing showers may appear generally across the country, she says.

The areas that can expect more unsettled weather are eastern Svealand and Norrland where occasional showers may appear during Saturday and Sunday.

– If you look generally, it is in southern Sweden that it is most sunny with temperatures up to 25 degrees throughout the weekend.

Into next week, however, it may be the end of the high summer weather.

– At the beginning of next week, low pressure will start coming in from the southwest. After that, it will be low-pressure weather in several places with changeable weather where the sun can only peek out a bit into the week, says Söderberg to Nyheter24.
