High expectations were set for Trump’s speech.
It had been reported in advance that the former president changed his speech to be more unifying than before.
At the beginning of his speech, Trump spoke emotionally about the events of Saturday’s shooting and how close his death was.

According to Bonsdorff, the speech was very divided. For the first few minutes, Trump spoke in a low voice while recounting the events of Saturday’s assassination attempt, but towards the end, the weight of his voice increased.
Great expectations were placed on the speech, but according to Bonsdorff, the opportunity was missed.
– Trump missed his chance. He stayed on the themes for too long and the tension died down completely.
