  • Stolen electric cross – threatened with a knife

    A 25-year-old man is forced to do an electric cross at a school in Tranemo during the night of Friday.

    About ten guys came up to him, one of whom shows a knife, and one starts beating the man with a baton and fists.

    They take the e-cross and disappear from the scene.

    The plaintiff is bleeding from the nose but is not in need of hospital treatment, according to the police.

    A man in his 20s could be arrested during the night of Friday at a campsite in Halmstad.

    A couple allegedly asked the man to turn down the music, whereupon the couple were beaten.

    They were both taken to hospital for a check-up.

  • Bromma Airport temporarily closes

    Bromma Airport will be closed for two weeks from Monday, Swedavia writes on its website.

    This is due to maintenance work.

    During that time, some departures will be moved to Arlanda Airport.

    Travelers are advised to contact the airlines for more information about their departures.

  • Young people are suspected of starting fires with fireworks

    During the night of Friday, the police were alerted to an address in Ronneby after several young people were seen moving in the area with fireworks.

    Once on site, it was established that a fire had caught fire in connection with a shed, but that it could be extinguished before it had time to spread.

    No one was left at the scene when the police arrived.

    One man was killed and at least 10 others were injured in an airstrike in central Tel Aviv, Israel, early Friday morning, according to Israeli authorities.

    Israel’s military states that early information indicates that the explosion was caused by a falling “air target”.

    No sirens had been activated before the explosion. The military states that the incident is being investigated and that the air force has increased its air patrols.

    Security forces are working at the scene.

  • Man to hospital after serious assault in Hörby

    A man has been taken to hospital after being abused by several people in an apartment in Hörby in Scania, the police say.

    The police were called to the scene and arrested two people aged 18 who are now suspected of serious assault.

    A technical investigation will be carried out during the day and more criminal suspicions may be added.

    A powerful explosion occurred in a recycling station in Kristinehamn on Friday night.

    – There were several alarms at 01.55 about a big bang and when we went there we could ascertain that a container had exploded and some rubbish was on fire, says Rasmus Eriksson, officer on duty at the Bergslagen police region.

    No injuries have been reported.

    – There must have been many people who woke up, because we judge that it was a really strong bang. The container is very demolished, which is probably due to some type of explosives, says Rasmus Eriksson.

    A large area was cordoned off and the National Bomb Squad was on its way to the scene in the early hours of the morning.

    The police have launched an investigation into the public danger of destruction.

  • Pensioner in Lund receives million claims

    A pensioner in Lund must pay back SEK 913,000 to the Pensions Authority in wrongly paid pension and housing allowance, SEK 766,000 in guarantee pension and SEK 147,000 in housing allowance, Sydsvenskan reports.

    The authority has reviewed the pensioner’s whereabouts for seven years, from the spring of 2016 to the spring of 2023, and concluded that too much of that time has been spent in Kosovo for the right to benefits to disappear. During the same period, there is no notification to the Swedish authorities about a stay abroad.

    As evidence, there are, among other things, bank statements that show that the bank card was used exclusively in Kosovo during the audited period.

    The right to guaranteed pension and housing allowance is lost if you stay abroad for longer than one year – and if it is judged that you have your actual residence abroad, even if you are formally registered in Sweden.

    Riot police have been called in to disperse crowds gathered in Leeds, UK.

    Videos and photos from the scene show how protesters overturned a police car and set fire to rubble.

    It is unclear what caused the riot.

    Councilor Salma Arif is urging people to stay home from the Harehills area.

    No injuries have been reported, writes Sky News.

    People close to Joe Biden say he is close to accepting that he cannot win the presidential election and may have to drop out of the campaign, the New York Times reports.

    A source emphasizes, however, that Biden has not yet made up his mind completely.

    He was 94, reports Variety.

    The American actor is known, among other things, for his own series in The Bob Newhart Show – which aired on television for almost two decades.

    Newhart has also been awarded an Emmy for his role as a guest actor in “The Big Bang Theory” and praised for the role of the father in the comedy film “Elf”.

  • Cars in collision – five people to hospital

    Two cars have collided on the E45 outside Karlstad.

    The alarm came in shortly before 8 p.m.

    – Both an ambulance and an ambulance helicopter have been called to the scene, says Claudia Giare at SOS Alarm.

    Five people were injured and have been taken to hospital.

    – The victims are two men, two women and a boy, says Rasmus Eriksson, officer on duty at the police.

    The extent of the damage is unclear.
