Gears of War: E-Day job posting hints the game could be coming to PlayStation. The Coalition is looking for an engineer with PSN experience.
Gears of War: E-Day When it was announced back in June, many fans wondered if the game would be an Xbox exclusive or if there would be a PlayStation version as well. A month later, a new job posting hints at a possible release on Sony’s platform.
Gears of War: Does E-Day Job Posting Hint at Possible PlayStation Release?
The Coalition is looking for a senior online client engineer to work on Gears of War: E-Day. The position will help build the multiplayer and online experience, including “in-game economies and commerce, session management, player statistics, user-generated content, and matchmaking,” according to the posting.
The ad mentions experience working with online platforms like Xbox Live, Steam, and yes, PlayStation Network (PSN) as part of the preferred qualifications for the job. While having PSN experience doesn’t necessarily confirm that the game will launch on PlayStation, it’s interesting enough that it’s specifically mentioned. We know the game is definitively on Xbox and Steam, so it makes sense to see it on the list.
