The first and only open beta phase of Throne and Liberty will run from July 18 to 23, 2024. In this overview article, you will learn everything you need to know about the start time, the pre-download, the playable content and the planned events.

NCSoft’s new MMORPG, Throne and Liberty, will be released on September 17, 2024. The launch in the West will be handled by Amazon Games, which has already gained some experience with New World and Lost Ark.

You can expect an online role-playing game that focuses on the “massively” in “massively multiplayer online role-playing game”. In other words: in addition to the usual quests and leveling, you can expect huge PvP battles, sieges and guild activities.

When does the Throne and Liberty open beta start?

The Throne and Liberty Open Beta will run from July 18, 2024 at 19:00 CEST to July 23, 2024 at 19:00 CEST.

On which platforms does the open beta run?

You can play Throne and Liberty on PC, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. These are also the platforms on which the MMORPG is scheduled to be released on September 17, 2024.

Is there a pre-download?

Yes, but not for all platforms. If you are on PC (Steam) or Xbox Series X|S, you can download the open beta client from July 16, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. All PlayStation users will have to wait until July 18, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.

Does the open beta support the German language?

The lyrics of Throne and Liberty can be viewed in German. English, Spanish (Spain and LATAM), French, Brazilian Portuguese and Japanese are also supported. For the voice output, the only options are English, Japanese or Korean.

What content is playable during the open beta?

Almost the entire scope of the release version of Throne and Liberty awaits you. Only castle sieges and tax transport events are deactivated. So that you can see as much as possible in the few days, the developers are speeding up the leveling phase in the open beta.

Amazon Games has released a special event schedule for the open beta phase:

  • A dynamic event every 3 hours
  • During dynamic events, various activities such as wolf hunting competitions or lantern seed festivals take place in specific areas of the map. These events fall into one of three categories: Peace (PvE), Domain (PvP), or Guild.
  • Daily Conquest Battles starting July 20th at 20:00 local server time.
  • The battle for the blessing stone
  • The battle for the Stone of Discord
  • Archbosses starting July 20th at 19:00 local server time.
