(Telestock) – Maire is proud to announce that Tecnimont (Integrated E&C Solutions), through its Indian subsidiary Tecnimont Private Limitedhas signed a collaboration with two esteemed engineering institutes of Mumbai, Vivekanand Education Society (VES) and Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), to promote innovation in the energy transition sector through sponsorship of scholarships.
As part of this initiative, TCMPL will support deserving students, ensuring equal gender representation. For the current academic year, there have been 10 scholarships activated for second, third and fourth year students of the Department of Automation and Robotics of the VES Institute of Technology, with the aim of stimulating interest in the issues of energy transition.
Furthermore TCMPL, in collaboration with the VJTIwill provide annual scholarships to support 12 Master of Technology students and 2 PhD students of the Department of Energy Security and Sustainability, specifically in the faculties of Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering.
The themes of the projects, examined by the MAIRE technical team, range from the analysis of sustainable solutions for the production of cement and by-products of blast furnace combustion, to the study of materials for the storage and transport of hydrogen to reduce its losses. Quarterly reviews with professors and company tutors are also planned for students.
The selected students will benefit from thesupport from the MAIRE technical team, fostering their academic and professional growth. In addition to the research grants, TCMPL will promote a series of industry-oriented sessions at the two institutes. These lectures are designed to bridge the gap between industry and academia, providing students with valuable insights and case studies to complement their classroom learning. By relating theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios, TCMPL aims to prepare the next generation of engineers to the dynamic challenges of industry.
