As expected, the European Central Bank (ECB) has decided to keep key interest rates unchanged. According to the ECB, the latest data largely support its previous estimates of the medium-term inflation outlook.
In the medium term, the ECB aims for two percent inflation in the euro area. The ECB estimates that overall inflation will likely remain above the target well into next year.
