Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s is an icon in Milan.
Now Maximilian is following in the same footsteps.
The news about Zlatan’s son now makes all Milan supporters cheer.
A year has passed since Sweden’s greatest football player of all time, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, ended his career. The Swede managed to represent some of the world’s biggest clubs and poured in goals in league after league before the tearful farewell from Milan, which became the last club of his career.
Great talents
Zlatan Ibrahimovic currently has a role as an advisor in Milan and he still makes public appearances from time to time. He is said to have a large influence on the sporting decisions made at the club, and given the new role, there was no doubt where the Ibrahimovic family would live even after his playing career ended.
And now comes a new announcement that will make all Milan supporters rejoice. Ibrahimovic’s football skills have clearly been passed down and both his sons, Maximilian and Vincent, have been recognized in the media for their efforts on the pitch. It was under hugely noticed forms that the youngest son Vincent was selected for the Swedish P08 national team. But his eldest son, Maximilian, is also said to be a great talent, and he has already managed to train with Milan’s A team.
New message
Maximilian has played in Milan’s primavera team, and has played with U16, U17 and most recently U18, but now Milan also has a completely new U23 team, which will play in Serie C, Italy’s third division. It is not unusual for big teams to have a “B-team” in lower divisions, and now it is Milan’s turn, and Maximilian Ibrahimovic will play a role there. It was made public on the club’s Instagram account on Thursday, where it was announced that Maximilian had signed his very first professional contract.
Maximilian Ibrahimovic was born in 2006 and turns 18 later this year, and the news that he has signed a first contract has all the supporters saying the same thing.
“Grande Ibra”, writes a supporter.
“Ibra Jr!!” writes another.
“Same aura as dad,” writes a third.
“The future is here,” writes a fourth.
