Danish driver Kevin Magnussen will not continue with the F1 team as Hassi’s driver after the current season. Magnussen’s contract ends this season and the team does not intend to sign an extension with him.

31-year-old Magnussen drove for Haas for seven seasons. In addition, he has driven for McLaren and Renault. In his F1 career, Magnussen has taken the pole position and the podium once. This season he has scored twice.

Changes are coming to the Haas team when Nico Hulkenberg moves to Sauber next season.

Haas team manager Ayao Komatsu thanked Magnussen and hopes he will continue working at Haas in another role.

“I hope we could continue working in some form. Hopefully we can define that in the near future. Magnussen has extensive experience in Formula 1 and knowledge of our team’s working methods. It is important for continuous growth and development.”
