The county administration says that the area is wrongly planned. Someone like Birgitta Gunnarsson (C), deputy chairman of the municipal board, disagrees with:
– This area is planned in the same way as all others. We are a little amazed that this is happening. Something may have happened; that mud got in and got stuck. We will look into it as soon as we get the water out.
The floods in Östergötland in the summer of 2024
The municipality is now taking measures to dry up the Olofstorp area and is taking the incident into consideration for future construction.
