Finnish striker Teemu Pukki managed to score a goal in the match of the MLS series of North American football, but the Minnesota United he represented lost to DC United with the score of 2-3.

The 34-year-old Finnish cannon gave Minnesota a 2–1 lead in the 80th minute of the match. Companion Robin Lod gave Puki a handsome pass, and finally Puki’s sharp shot into the back corner of the goal put the hosts in the lead.

At the end of the game, Minnesota completely collapsed. In the last minute of the actual game time Aaron Herrera shot to the level of DC United, and the Belgian striker Christian Benteke scored the winning goal in the first minute of overtime. Playing for DC United Matti Peltola was replaced from the field at the hour mark.

Minnesota’s difficult period in MLS continued. In the last 10 games, Minnesota has come out victorious only once. Minnesota is ninth in the Western Conference and in the last place leading to the playoffs.
