Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail: Endgame Guide

With the new Dawntrail expansion, fresh endgame content awaits you in Final Fantasy XIV. With the preliminary patch notes, we have initial information about the new raids and boss battles.

Update from 17.07.2024: The article has been expanded with information about the difficult new trials, the first part of the 8-man raid and the possible release of the new Bozja content.

What does the endgame look like in general? Across the various expansions, Final Fantasy XIV has developed a fairly reliable pattern for endgame content:

  • Trials / Boss Battles
  • a 24-man raid series with three releases each with multiple battles in a long dungeon
  • an 8-man raid series with three releases of four fights each
  • Ultimate / Fatal Raid
  • Depending on the expansion, additional endgame content was added, such as the instanced challenges in Eureka and Bozja. Or the collector and crafter endgame with the restoration of Ishgard.

On page two we list the endgame content of the previous expansions.

    New Bozja / Eureka

During the third fan festival, Naoki Yoshida announced that new Bozja- or Eureka-like content would be released during Dawntrail’s patch series (via X.com).

This type of content is instanced content with up to 70 players at once. In these dedicated areas there are many Fates to fight, but also world bosses. In addition, Eureka and Bozja also include the large 48-man challenges.

According to the latest information, the development team is aiming for the release of patch 7.2. This will probably go live in spring 2025. You can read more about it in our news: “It will delight the fans”: Final Fantasy XIV boss announces the MMORPG’s most anticipated content for Dawntrail
