Pizza Hero Is Free on Steam for a Limited Time

Pizza Hero has been on mobile for over a year now, but it just came to Steam in June. A quick look at the developer’s YouTube video introducing the game shows you how much of its gameplay and art is influenced by Vampire Survivors and other experiences in the bullet-filled roguelite genre. Instead of a monster hunter, you play as a piece of pizza. You still fight monsters, but instead you collect things like pizza toppings to give yourself extra powers during your runs.

“Pizza Hero is a survival game, meaning you’ll need to use all your skills and strategies to defeat relentless waves of enemies. With randomly generated levels and power-ups, no two games will ever be the same,” explains the Pizza Hero gameplay overview. “To aid you in your quest, the game features an auto-rotate feature that lets you easily switch between targeting groups without having to manually rotate.”

On the game’s Steam page from here You can access it and add it to your library.

In comparison to some other games in the genre, Pizza Hero has over 20 different power-ups that you can collect during a match, and it still allows you to increase your overall stats after a run and for those upgrades to persist between runs. A note added to the game’s Steam page in late June confirmed that Pizza Hero would eventually become a full-priced game, but did not specify when that change would occur or how much the game would cost.
