In Early Access for over a year, Starship Troopers Extermination has decided to move on to the next stage. After an announcement trailer last month during the Summer Game Fest, the game has resurfaced and announced its presence at gamescom 2024, with a playable section of the game as a bonus. But to make the fun even more fun, the developers have decided to bring in comedian Casper Von Dien, who played Rico in Paul Verhoeven’s film. The latter will be available to greet the audience and sign a few autographs, but he will mainly be there to gain the trust of the developers. This meeting with the public will take place on Thursday, August 22 from 6:00 p.m. in hall 10.1 on booth E021. Casper Van Dien will be accompanied by cosplayers in Starship Troopers uniforms, while a life-size insect designed by Creative Polymer will allow for some great photos. See you soon.
New enemies, new planets and a new single player mode in close collaboration with Casper Van Dien will be available at the game’s release. Those who attend gamescom this year will be able to get an early look at this new content. Starship Troopers Extermination will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4 and Nintendo Switch on October 11, 2024, after several months of Early Access. Players will be sent to the front lines of a war against the arachnids and will have to work together to complete missions, collect resources, build a base and defend it.
