One person is facing charges after police on foot patrol Sunday morning in Tillsonburg discovered a break and enter in progress on Harvey Street.

A 43-year-old Tillsonburg resident has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence as well as failing to comply with a release order.

The person was held in custody while awaiting a bail hearing.

Truck stolen in Delhi

Police are investigating after a pickup truck was stolen from Main Street in Delhi sometime between 5 am and 6:30 am on Monday.

Norfolk OPP say one or more unknown individuals attended the property and stole a black, 2003 Chevrolet Silverado.

Boater faces impaired charge

An investigation into an overdue vessel on Lake Erie resulted in a boater facing impaired driving charges on Sunday.

Marine officers with the Norfolk County OPP responded to a call at just before 11:30 p.m. about the overdue vessel. The boat was located with assistance from the Canadian Coast Guard and brought to shore.

After arriving at Turkey Point, the boater was tested for sobriety and taken into custody.

A 49-year-old Toronto man has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

Earlier that evening, police charged a woman after receiving a 911 call about a suspected impaired driver on Highway 3, Woodhouse.

The vehicle was stopped at about 6 p.m. and the driver was taken into custody after police conducted a roadside sobriety test.

A 38-year-old Hamilton woman was charged with impaired blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

Impaired driving charges

A complaint from a member of the public resulted in impaired driving charges against a 35-year-old Leamington man.

Oxford OPP officers responded to Mount Elgin Road in Norwich Township after receiving a traffic complaint at about 9 p.m. on Friday.

The suspected vehicle was located and stopped by police. Officers arrested the driver after observing signs of impairment, a media release said.

The driver was subsequently charged with impaired driving.
