US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has expressed his concern over recent civilian casualties during a meeting with Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and Israeli National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi, AFP news agency reports.

Blinken is said to have said during the meeting that the number of civilian casualties in Gaza is “unacceptably high”, says US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller.

In recent days, the Israeli military has attacked in several places in Gaza, including against refugee camps near Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. According to the Hamas-controlled Palestinian Ministry of Health, more than 90 people were killed in the attack and more than 300 were injured.
