Fans have seen Bruce Springsteen hundreds of times

Annette Dahlin-Johansson has queued for six days to see “The Boss” for almost the hundredth time.
– It will soon be in three figures. I haven’t counted every concert because I’ve been to some small concerts as well, she says.
Still, she is far from first place.

She follows Bruce Springsteen around the world, has received a private concert from the saxophonist in her apartment and a kiss from the boss himself on stage.

Now, when Springsteen does his 3,545th concert in the world and 36th in Sweden, Annette Dahlin-Johansson has ordered a Swedish national team shirt for him.

– We’ll see. It’s Springsteen’s number 1, but we’ll see if he takes it, she says.

She has been on stage with him twice.

– He recognizes me. It’s so warm that I’m happy to see him and he’s just as happy to see me, it’s love.

“New in the gang” – after 41 concerts

It’s a dedicated crowd of fans who stand here at the front of the queue. Annette Dahlin-Johansson has only about ten people in front of her and will end up at the very front when the concert starts at eight o’clock this evening.

Another who queued to end up at the front is Anders Ahl from Nykvarn.

– It’s my 41st concert, so I’m fairly new to the group. Ted from Jersey over there sees his 499 today and takes 500 on Thursday.

The fans live with each other

Bruce Springsteen plays two gigs in Sweden during this year’s tour, both at Strawberry Arena, which was formerly called Friends Arena. One tonight and one on Thursday.

The fans have gotten to know each other over the years and say they almost always have somewhere to stay when they travel the world to see their idol.

– Everyone who is here is like a big family, says Annette Dahlin-Johansson.
