A study conducted by the language learning platform Babbel reveals that nearly one in two young French people choose their vacation destination based on trends observed on social networks.

    Whether at the seaside, in the mountains, in the city or in the countryside, social networks are a source of ideas for globetrotters. According to a study conducted among 1,000 French speakers, 43% of French people from Generation Z said they had chosen their next holiday destination based on trends observed on social networks.

The 18-24 age group (77%) are also the most likely to study a new language, unlike the over 65s (22%). Despite this, 29% change or cancel their holidays because of the stress of the language barrier.
