  • Argentina and Colombia square off in the final – but at half-time, a star beyond football will be in the spotlight. Shakira will perform – for 20 minutes.

Colombia’s national team captain Nestor Lorenzo appreciates her as an artist, but is far from satisfied with the spectacle.

    – When we’ve gone out (to the second half) after 16 minutes we’ve been fined, now it’s a show and we need to go out after 20 or 25, with all that that means for the players. They can get cold and we know what that can mean for the recovery in the dressing room, he says, among other things, at a press conference before the shiver.

According to football’s international governing body, Ifab, a break must not last longer than 15 minutes.

The event is played at 02:00 on the night of Monday, Swedish time.
