During Saturday afternoon, local time, the former president of the United States was shot Donald Trump. He was on stage during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when shots suddenly rang out.
The ex-president was hit in the ear.
District Attorney Richard Goldinger states that two people have died after the shooting. One was the shooter and the other person was a bystander. Another two are injured.

Ulf Kristersson: “Condemns the terrible attack”
Many have shown their support after the shooting. Including the President of the United States Joe Bidenthe ex-president Barack Obama and Sweden’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
“Sweden condemns the terrible attack in Pennsylvania. My thoughts go out to those who have been affected and to their families. Sweden stands behind the United States and wishes Donald Trump a speedy recovery,” writes Kristersson in a post on X.

Donald Trump speaks out after the shooting
Shortly after the shooting, Donald Trump signed on Truth Social that he has been shot, which The Express was the first to report on.
“I was shot with a bullet that hit the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong because I heard a whooshing sound, gunshots and immediately felt the bullet hit my skin. There was a lot of blood so then I understood what had happened,” he writes in the post.
