Man arrested – after body parts in bag

First, two suitcases containing body parts were found on a bridge in Bristol.
Then body parts were found in an apartment in London.
After a large manhunt, the police have now arrested a 34-year-old man who is suspected of two murders, reports Sky News.

On Wednesday evening, the police were called to a bridge in Bristol in the south-west of England, after a man had behaved strangely and walked around with a suitcase dripping with blood. The man fled the scene but left behind the suitcase – which turned out to be full of human body parts.

Another bag with body parts was later found at the scene.

The witness: “What do you have there, a body?”

A 61-year-old witness who allegedly saw the man joked that the bag looked heavy and asked “What do you have there, a body?” The man should not have answered.

The hunt for the suspected killer unraveled on Friday when more body parts were found in an apartment in Shepherd’s Bush, west London. The police then suspected that the two incidents were connected.

Remains of two victims found

The technical investigation showed that it is about two male victims, who have not yet been formally identified. Body parts belonging to the two men are said to have been found in the bags both in Bristol and in London.

On Saturday morning, the police arrested the 34-year-old man, who was wanted with a picture, in Bristol. He was then taken to London for questioning.

Earlier this week, another man was arrested in south London in connection with the murder. He was then released without suspicion as he did not turn out to be the person wanted.
