England’s team captain, Harry Kane, is classified as one of the world’s best strikers. He has won the goalscoring league in the World Cup 2022, in the Premier League three times and now in the past season – the first in Bayern Munich – he became the top scorer in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League.
But the shooting league wins and the Player of the Year awards, he values far from as highly as a potential European Championship gold with England.

– It is no secret that I have never won a trophy with any team. There is no doubt that I would have traded everything (the individual awards) for a European Championship gold, says Harry Kane at the press conference at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin the day before the European Championship final against Spain.
Two final losses
The Bayern Munich striker has played in two finals so far and lost both – in the Champions League with Tottenham in 2019 (0-2 against Liverpool) and in the European Championship 2021 against Italy (loss on penalties).
Kane has scored three goals in this year’s EC and is joint top scorer in the league. Tonight’s final against Spain kicks off at 9 p.m.
