Tuomas Iisalo, who was hired as an assistant coach of the Memphis Grizzlies, was involved in the team’s summer league match against the Sacramento Kings.
Finnish coach Tuomas Iisalo debuted in the opening of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, when the Memphis Grizzlies he coached beat the Sacramento Kings by a score of 103–83.
Before the upcoming season, the Memphis Grizzlies made significant changes to their coaching staff and named a head coach by Taylor Jenkins alongside six new assistant coaches, one of whom is Iisalo.
In the match against the Grizzlies Jake LaRavia collected a game-high 22 points in 34 minutes of play and led his team to victory in Las Vegas.
The NBA first held its Las Vegas Summer League in 2004. The purpose of the league is to provide a glimpse into the league’s new players while also giving college players a chance to showcase their skills. All 30 NBA teams are participating in the Las Vegas Summer League.
