Soon, couples will be sought again in Greece – but this time with an absolute reality star factor. With Love Island VIP, prominent Islanders are looking for a partner for the first time for life. The British dating show spin-off joins its sister shows Are You The One and Temptation Island, which already have several seasons with reality stars.
Which celebrities are there?
The cast has not yet been officially confirmed by the broadcaster. However, there is plenty of speculation, especially about the male participants. Two well-known TV gigolos are said to be shaking up the Greek island: Gigi Birofio and Yasin Mohamed. The latter in particular does not seem unlikely. Yasin said goodbye to his community a few days ago via Instagram story. He will be away for three weeks and will therefore not be seen on his current daily reality show La Family. Kymani Yade, the son of Viva presenter Daisy Dee, is also said to be turning the heads of female Icelanders.

Since filming has apparently already started, it is likely that the VIP season will be broadcast in the fall. Unlike its predecessors, this season will not be live. The episodes have been filmed and so there will not be new pictures from the luxury villa six times a week as usual, but only one episode per week will be broadcast. Sylvie Meis will be hosting the event for the fourth time in a row. And she is totally convinced by the new concept:

Can Love Island VIP work?
In Great Britain, the first Allstar season was a complete success, as the online magazine DWDL 2023 has already reported. The broadcaster ITV is therefore already planning another season. But can the format also bear fruit in Germany? The alleged cast in particular initially raises doubts. With Gigi and Yasin, two audience favorites are moving into the villa, but neither of them has exactly been able to shine in their past with consistent relationships with women and loyalty.
However, other dating shows such as Temptation Island and Are You The One are also guaranteed to be successful in the VIP edition. So there is a good chance that Love Island VIP’s concept will be well received by viewers in this country.
