Poet and artist Stig Johansson dead

Johansson is perhaps best known for the poem “The Loss” which contains the stanza “All these days that came and went, I didn’t know they were life”.

He went to sea at a young age and when he came ashore he trained as a sociologist. Stig Johansson debuted as an artist in 1982 and has, among other things, exhibited at Liljevalch’s Spring Salon and Galleri Final in Malmö.

In southern Sweden, he was also known for his “Gubbar” and aphorisms that were published in Sydsvenskan from 1985 until a few years ago.

Among other things, he has published collections of poems and aphorisms such as “The overturned sky” (1984), “Cuttings: words in the road” (1989), “Human judgment: other cuttings” (1993) and “Kamma noll” (2012) .

Stig Johansson was 87 years old.
