All Finnish orienteers to the sprint World Cup final

The Sprint Design World Championships are held in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Sprint Design World Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland started on Friday with the sprint qualifying.

In both men’s and women’s qualifying, all Finns cleared their way to the final competition, as expected. The best 15 from each qualifying group made it to the finals.

Tuomas Heikkilä was third in his qualifying group. Miika Kirmula finished fifth in the second qualifying group, and Akseli Ruohola shared the fourth place of the third qualifying group.

Venla Harju, Maija Sianoja and Inka Nurminen were all fifth fastest in their qualifying groups.

The sprint finals are on the program later on Friday. Broadcast live on Areena at 5:30 p.m. and on TV2 at 9:15 p.m.
