On the night of January 14, two masked people appeared and attacked Jakob while he was on his way home from a party. In total, he received 17 stab wounds.
Shortly afterwards, two boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of the murder and they were later charged. Testimony, the murder weapon and a cellphone video are part of the prosecution’s evidence.

Already two months before Jakob was stabbed, there were plans to injure or kill him, according to chat messages. The motive must be jealousy. According to the interrogation, the background to the anger is that Jakob spent time with a girl with whom one of the defendants had a kind of love relationship.
On Friday afternoon, the verdict in the case will come.
One boy released from custody
The 16-year-old boy has admitted in interrogation that he stabbed Jakob, but both deny responsibility for murder.
The prosecutor has requested four years of closed youth care for the two boys.
– I mean that they should be sentenced together and in agreement for murder. If they had been adults, we would have asked for life imprisonment, says Cecilia Andersson, chamber prosecutor.
After the trial, the 16-year-old was released from custody and placed in a SIS home. The prosecutors had requested that he be kept in custody, while the social service explained that it was a placement with locking that had been arranged for the boy.
The other boy is still in custody.
