After 28 years, TV4’s news anchor has Anders Kraft decided to leave the channel. Kraft has worked on TV4’s long-running program “Nyhetsmorgon” and on TV4 Nyheterna.
The reason is that TV4 has not succeeded in giving Kraft other tasks, something that he requested from the management.
“I have also, in recent years, on various occasions asked our management to be allowed to work other times and also work with things other than news for a while. A desire and a need that has strengthened in the past year,” Kraft wrote in an email to The Express.

In 2021, Kraft earned SEK 1,381,300 from his job as a news anchor, making him one of the highest paid news anchors on the entire channel. Divided by twelve months, the annual salary gives a monthly salary of SEK 115,000.
What Anders Kraft will tackle in the future is yet to be said. One thing that is clear, however, is that TV4’s viewers will miss him.
On TV4 Nyheternas’ Instagram, the comment field is filled with sad viewers.
“Best Newscaster”
“Sad he’s leaving”
“No… my favorite”
“Will miss you”
“It will be empty without you in the box”

In a letter to his colleagues, Kraft writes that he will focus on his family and find a new job.
“Now I’m going to cheer up my parents, take care of my dog, go to bed early, drink morning coffee with my sweetheart, ski with my kids, and find a day job,” he wrote in a letter first published in The Express.
But many viewers are upset.
“He should get a big buck to stay, whatever the cost, he’s the best they’ve got!”
