Joe Biden continues to make a new gaffe in almost every program he appears on and in almost every speech he makes. The latest one came at the NATO Leaders’ Summit, which the world is closely following. Biden, who said “Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin” while he was about to announce Ukrainian leader Zelenskiy, created a cold wind in the hall.
HE TRIED TO COLLECT IT IMMEDIATELY
Biden, who introduced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who was waiting next to him, with the words “Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin,” soon realized his mistake and said, “President Putin? President Zelenskyy! I am very focused on defeating Putin.”
Zelenskyy came into play and made the hall laugh
Zelensky then shook hands with Biden and said, “I am better than him.” Biden replied, “You are much better.” Zelensky’s words warmed the atmosphere and sparked laughter.
There have been comments that his latest gaffe could put Biden in a difficult position, as he faces pressure to withdraw his candidacy ahead of the November presidential election because of his age.
BIDEN’S PERFORMANCE HAD CAUSED CONTROVERSY
US President Joe Biden and US Presidential Candidate Donald Trump held a political debate to persuade voters to vote for them ahead of the November presidential elections.
Biden’s lack of concentration and incomprehension at times throughout the 90-minute debate had caused concern among Democrats. The debate between the two reignited discussions that Biden, 81, is not fit to be president due to his age and cognitive abilities.
CALLS TO WITHDRAW FROM THE ELECTION HAVE BEEN MADE
While some segments of the Democratic Party and some media outlets supporting Biden called on Biden to withdraw from the presidential election, Biden stated that he was still the best alternative to Trump and that he would not withdraw from the race.
