A 21-year-old Chinese woman was swept into the sea while swimming with a swimming ring southwest of Tokyo. After 37 hours in the water, she was rescued eight miles from shore, after being discovered by a cargo ship.
The woman had not been able to swim back to shore because she was being carried further and further from shore with the swimming ring.
According to the Coast Guard, the 21-year-old was lucky to survive, despite the risk of heat stroke, cooling down at night and being hit by a ship.

An SAS plane on its way to Luleå has been forced to turn back to Arlanda.
The plane has not been able to land due to poor visibility.
– There was poor visibility in Luleå so it was not possible to land, says Alexandra Lindgren Kaoukji, press spokesperson at SAS.

– No, I don’t know that, says Alexandra Lindgren Kaoukji.

– Those on board will be allowed to go to Arlanda and then go to Luleå when the weather is good again.

The pier that the US military built on the coast of Gaza to make it easier to get supplies in will soon be closed. This is stated by the Pentagon.
The pier has cost the equivalent of SEK 2.5 billion to build, but has several times drifted out to sea and had to be repaired.
The first aid shipments via the pier were sent in mid-May and so far, according to the Pentagon, 8,100 tons of emergency aid have come in via the pier.
The pier is currently out of service after yet another problem and there is no forecast for when or if it may be back in service.
“The pier and auxiliary barges and other equipment have been sent to (the port city of) Ashdod where they will be stored until further notice,” Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said.
A single vehicle accident has occurred on the E22 near Holmtebo.
The emergency services are on site.
According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the accident has a very large impact on traffic.
The road is closed in the direction of Norrköping.
There is no forecast for when traffic can be reopened.
Just minutes after the accident, another accident occurred on the E22 at the height of Valdemarsvik.
A car has collided with a moose.
One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance. There is no information on the state of the damage.
Traffic is allowed to open at a limited speed, according to the emergency services.
The police have been alerted about a man with a knife at Central Station in Gothenburg.
According to the alarm, several people must have been arguing.

One person has died after a collision between a truck and a car outside Flen.
The accident occurred on national highway 53 at 3 p.m.
– It is a head-on collision, says Angelica Forsberg, press spokesperson at the police.

Good question Bengt! And it’s probably not something I can answer, but a big difference between Sweden and the USA is that election day here is always a holiday, which at least makes it possible for more people to vote without having to take time off (if you don’t vote early then).
Why do you only answer ridiculous questions about pacifiers and sports, while respectfully dissing heavy topics that may be a bit sensitive and difficult to answer? 😡

I wouldn’t say we do, and when it came to the issue of pacifiers, it was a recall. So quite important information for parents.
Then it is not always the case that we can let all questions go through, e.g. those that contain serious violations or name publications that we ourselves have not made.
