(Finance) – Confirmation Contributions from Italians decreasing with the Irpef declaration to the Catholic Church. According to the data released by the Finance Department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the amount allocated by taxpayers with the choice of8×1000 to the Catholic Church is fell below 1 billion for the first time of euros, reaching 990,953,330 euros, equal to 68.59% of the total amount, for 11,804,615 valid expressed choices.
Among other religious confessions, the largest figure goes to Waldensian Evangelical Church for over 40 million (3.04% of the total), followed byItalian Buddhist Union with 14 million (1.05%) and fromSoka Gakkai Italian Buddhist Institute with over 6.5 million (0.49%).
At the state they were destined over 340 million, equal to 25.62% of the total, for various purposes: hunger, disasters, school buildings, refugee assistance, cultural heritage.
