2024 Olympics Social worker Armel Agbobli chosen for the Olympic

The Olympic flame will be in Paris on Sunday 14 and Monday 15 July to mark the national holiday and the memory of the French Revolution. Around forty people will take turns to pass the flame through the historic districts, but also the most popular ones in Paris. Among the torchbearers, Armel Agbobli, a social worker who will carry the torch in the 5th arrondissement near the Luxembourg Gardens, a stone’s throw from the shelter for homeless women, where she works.

The flame will be in Aisne and Oise, two departments north of Paris, before returning to the Paris region on July 19, to travel throughout the Île-de-France region. It will end its journey in Paris on July 26, the day of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.
