Following an alert, a judicial investigation was opened. Many customers say they have been cheated out of losses of up to 4 million euros.

Online shopping has become commonplace. But be careful, it is crucial to remain vigilant against the scams that are multiplying on the web! The world of interior design, decoration and furniture is not spared. Some sites have attracted the attention of consumers and authorities for controversial practices.

These websites, such as Stockwan and Relaxsoria, presented themselves as attractive furniture stores, offering quality items at unbeatable prices. Product photos are carefully selected to appeal to customers, and descriptions are written to give an impression of legitimacy and professionalism. However, behind this facade lies a much less shiny reality.

If you ordered on these platforms, it is very likely that you will never receive your order… This is in any case the warning made in particular by 60 Million Consumers under the title “Stockwan and Relaxsoria collect, but do not deliver”. The consumer association even mentions a judicial investigation which led to 4 indictments for “counts of organized fraud and money laundering”.

Forums and social networks are full of testimonies from people who say they were scammed by Stockwan and Relaxsoria. “I ordered a sofa three months ago, and I still haven’t received anything,” reports one user. “After several attempts to contact them, I realized that I had been scammed,” adds another.

These testimonies have led several specialist sites and consumer associations to alert the public. 60 Million Consumers and UFC-Que Choisir have published warnings against these sites, highlighting the many complaints filed.

Consumer associations even cite several sites and platforms such as casaconfo.com, le-tech-village.com, relaxsoria.com, stockwan.com, vanuaty.com and vehrnex.com. In total, more than 20,000 orders were not honored, for a loss representing nearly 4 million euros. The Nanterre prosecutor’s office and the National Police, following a judicial investigation into large-scale scams carried out using fake sales sites, have launched an appeal for witnesses. “If you have been a victim of one of the sites mentioned above, you can file a complaint online at THESEUS.”

Do you have any doubts? The first alarms often come from delivery times. Customers, after placing their order and paying, find themselves faced with radio silence. Emails go unanswered, the phone numbers listed on the site are unreachable, and the order tracking pages are fictitious.

Are you directly affected? After filing a complaint, inform your bank of the situation to try to get your money back. In some cases, recourse is possible if the payment was made by credit card. For your future online purchases, always remember to check the site in question. Does it have a means of contact, a page indicating the contact details and the owner of the site? You can also compare and look at customer reviews online. This will give you a better chance of avoiding any scam.
