Laëtitia Milot: “Man is capable of atrocious things” – what revolts her as the holidays approach

Laetitia Milot Man is capable of atrocious things what

We know about her fight against endometriosis, but less about this commitment that is particularly close to her heart, like many French people. She confides about this cause in the Journal des Femmes.

Laëtitia Milot, known for her role as Mélanie Rinato in Plus belle la vie, has many strings to her bow. The actress and presenter has written several books and novels, and has just released her family diary, published by Larousse, in which she shares her recipes, tips and daily life as a young mother, or all the activities she shares with her daughter Lyana. Although she has long been in the media for her fight against endometriosis, which she suffers from and which has raised awareness among many women, the big-hearted actress is also committed to a completely different cause, that of animals. The future presenter of the show Le Meilleur Pâtissier on M6 does not hesitate to use her fame to benefit certain associations such as 30 Millions d’Amis and helps certain shelters, but with the summer holidays approaching, the abandonment of pets is heartbreaking.

“An animal is a living being, a member of the family who gives a lot of love, but who also needs to receive it in return, with a lot of attention and affection. It is not a toy, it is a long-term commitment that is also a financial commitment” she reminds us. Indeed, between veterinary fees and food, possible care costs, it costs money and you have to be aware of it. “Not everyone necessarily has all this in mind when wanting to adopt an animal, and unfortunately, we see some pretty terrible things in shelters” says Laëtitia Milot.

“We can’t even imagine that some owners are capable of doing such atrocious things: whether it’s mistreatment or abandonment on a motorway service station, in the forest, in the street, when the animals are tied up… I find it deplorable.” the actress tells us. “Sometimes, shelters find them too late, there is really revolting behaviour!” denounces Laëtitia Milot.

The young woman, on the other hand, salutes people who, out of kindness, take their pet to a shelter, for reasons of their own, to pass the baton, because they can no longer take care of it and believe that the animal would be better off in another family, ensuring its future well-being.

Laëtitia Milot has always been very close to animals and has now adopted a cat and two dogs who are part of the family. “I grew up with animals, it brought me a lot of love and empathy. I find that they bring so much to children and in the continuity of their lives. It also allows you to be less focused on your navel and to be more open to the world, and I think that with Lyana, it has a bit of the same effect. She has a lot of love to give, they are always glued to her, and that brings us nothing but happiness” she tells us.

A bond such that little Lyana would dream of becoming a veterinarian! “For example, when her pet is a little under the weather, she immediately wants to take care of it, give it its medicine. Animals bring so much to the home. They are loved and the three of them have become very close, we all go for walks together, it’s great. When I come back from the weekend of filming Le Meilleur Pâtissier, Lyana celebrates with me, but also Berlioz, Jaï and Naia. It really warms my heart.”
