In Zenless Zone Zero, the new action game from the makers of Genshin Impact, there are many characters that you can get through the gacha system. Some are easier to earn at the start. We at MeinMMO show you which S-rank agents are the best in the standard banner.
The agents in Zenless Zone Zero are divided into ranks and give you an indication of how strong they are. An S-rank character in this game is basically equivalent to a 5-star character from Honkai: Star Rail or Genshin Impact. You get agents mainly through the gacha system, where you can draw one of your favorites.
To start your journey, Zenless Zone Zero gives you the opportunity to get your first S-rank characters from the standard banner easier and faster.
What support is available to get started? After a guaranteed 50 signal searches (instead of 90) in the standard banner, you will receive a random S-rank character. If you have drawn 300 times in the standard banner, you will receive another S-rank character. This time it will not be a random one, but you can choose your favorite.
How does dragging the standard banner work? To pull the standard banner in Zenless Zone Zero you need the in-game currency Master Cassette.
Here is an overview of how the system works and how to get the most out of it:
Below we show you the 4 best S-rank agents from the standard banner with whom you simply can’t go wrong. We based this on our own tier list and lists from GameSpot, GameRant and TheGamer.
4th place – Nekomata – S-Tier
What makes Nekomata so good? Nekomata is a physical damage agent with a high crit rate. Her kit aims to eliminate enemies with fast, powerful strikes and high crit damage.
She doesn’t bring any buffs to the team, but she does bring a lot to herself. She can buff herself by increasing her own damage through successful dodge counters, for example. Nekomata is perfect for those who love a fast playstyle and high damage numbers.
3rd place – Grace – S-Tier
What makes Grace so good? Grace’s abilities are very strong overall. She throws grenades that cause area of effect (AoE) damage to enemies. She is also extremely mobile and agile. Her attack animations range from jumps to somersaults.
Grace can quickly shock her opponents, collect her own attribute anomalies, and improve the performance of other Electro-type agents. Combined with Rina, she forms an ideal Electro-type duo. Her talents such as Recharge Chamber and Lightning Pierce strengthen the team and reduce the opponents’ resistance to Electro-type damage.
2nd place – Rina – S-Tier
What makes Rina so good? With Rina you have a real supporter on your team who also has a long range with her abilities. She is very mobile and buffs her team members – among other things, she increases the damage she deals. With her additional ability, she increases the electric damage of her allies. When she calls her two companions Drusilla and Anastella and they attack, she increases the penetration of the group (up to 30%). The buff ends when the two companions return to Rina.
The penetration buff comes in handy for all characters, making her one of the best supports in the game. Her ultimate ability also allows her to push enemies away if they get too close to her.
1st place- Lycaon – S-Tier
What makes Lycaon so good? Lycaon is considered the best character in ZZZ. With his quick attacks he can stun enemies one by one, allowing your team to deal a lot of damage over time. The attacks can also be charged.
Overall, he is an all-round talent who is suitable as a second DD agent, has good supporting skills and can also take a lot of punishment. Ideally, you play him with other ice agents so that he can develop his full potential – for example with Ellen.
That was our list of the 4 best S-rank characters you can pull from the standard banner. Overall, it’s difficult to say which agent is the best choice for you, as it also depends on your preferences and your other team members. Which character is your favorite? Let us know in the comments. You can see how the other characters perform in our Tier List.
