18-year-old discus talent Mico Lampinen broke his record in Kankaanpää with a 1.75 kg puck. The equipment in question is thrown in the under-20 series.
Lampinen’s record from about a week ago has now improved by about a meter to 59.35. Two weeks ago, at the Kaleva Games in Vaasa, he threw a man’s device to become the Finnish champion with his record of 57.29.
The result in question came in the final round, and with that he left behind a sports legend by Frantz Kruger.
The main goal of Raamikka Lampinen’s season is the under-20 World Championships held in the last week of August. From there, the Finnish promise is looking for a medal.
