Two other young men are also sentenced to prison for, among other things, serious weapons offenses and drug offences. One of them must also be deported.

A fourth person, a 23-year-old, is sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for taking the assignment from the gang leader to kill a member of the Norrliden gang in Kalmar for compensation. But something went wrong and the planned assassination was never completed.

All four in the case must be detained until the prison sentences are carried out.

    Key certificate

It is an extensive investigation – the preliminary investigation is over 9,000 pages long. Part of the evidence in the Kalmar case has been a seized mobile phone from the hired shooter, who failed in the attempt to kill the member of the Norrliden gang.

It was thanks to the mobile phone that the police got hold of recorded conversations in which the 26-year-old leader can be heard talking about the failed assassination mission.

But the defense has always claimed that the prosecution rests on a fragile foundation. The defense believes that it is not clear who has spoken in the various communication channels.
