The hit program “Jill’s Veranda”, led by Jill Johnson, premiered in 2014 on SVT and since then five seasons have been broadcast on the channel. In the program, artists are invited to Jill’s porch in Nashville, USA, where they explore the city together.
In addition to hosting a popular TV show, Jill Johnson has also released a slew of hit songs during her career.

In the summer of 2024, we will see Jill & The Johnsons in “Allsång på Skansen”, which Pernilla wahlgren leads for the second year.
News24 met Jill Johnson at a press conference for “Allsång på Skansen”, where she talked about which of the other artists she would most like to have a drink with.

What are you most nervous about that will happen on the Allsångscenen?
– It almost feels a little arrogant to say that I’m not nervous, but I’m actually not. I’ve been at it so long now that I feel like it can be good TV too. Obviously I don’t want anyone to get hurt and for everyone to feel good, but otherwise I feel like I’m not nervous at all.

Which of the other artists in this year’s “Allsång på Skansen” would you most like to party with?
– I’m not very good at partying. Then I don’t want to be pompous and boring either, but I don’t party like that. I’m too old, I don’t party like that and never have. But I would love to sit down and giggle over something bubbly with Oscar Zia for example. And Pernilla Wahlgren too, and why not Tomas Ledin or everyone else you have worked with over the years.

What do you usually wear on your “rider” when you perform?
– I do not have so much. The technicians must have home cooking, good food and a cold beer. The important thing is that they have a good time, I think. Sometimes I want red wine and white wine and sometimes I want rum. But otherwise it’s mostly ginger, lemon and hot water. I am quite modest.
