Two people have previously been suspected of involvement in the murder in Södertälje last week, when a man in his 20s was shot to death.
Now the prosecutor announces that another child under the age of 15 is a suspect.
– The person was assigned a public defender yesterday and is suspected of aiding and abetting murder, says prosecutor Mikael Carlsson.
Last week, the police were alerted to an apartment in the Blombacka district in Södertälje. A man in his 20s was found shot to death at the scene.
On the same day, a person was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting murder. The person was later released as, according to the prosecutor, there were insufficient grounds for detention, but remains a suspect.
A person under 15 is also suspected of aiding and abetting murder and has been questioned by the police.
Two children suspected of involvement
Prosecutor Mikael Carlsson now announces that another person under 15 is suspected of involvement in the murder. That person is also suspected of aiding and abetting murder.

The investigation is still in a catch-up phase, according to District Attorney Mikael Carlsson.
– We collect surveillance footage and conduct interrogations. It is not locked to any particular hypothesis. We work on the basis of various information and have good hope of prosecuting people.
