The national coalition secured its membership in the populist group

The national conservative European patriots are becoming the third largest group in the EU Parliament.

On Monday, the French far-right National Coalition joined the Patriots of Europe EU parliamentary group established at the end of June.

Chairman of the National Alliance, 28 years old Jordan Bardella will become the chairman of the group, the French Member of Parliament Jean-Paul Garraud told in Brussels.

Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán The Fidesz party, the far-right Austrian party FPÖ and the Czech Republic Andrej Babishin the populist ANO party founded the group at the end of June.

The group now has 84 members from 12 different countries. The national coalition became the largest party in the group with 30 MEPs. European patriots become the third largest group in the European Parliament.

– Our new group intends to work to preserve Europe’s Indo-Christian roots and strive for the strongest possible external borders of Europe, the Fidesz party appointed as the group’s vice president Kinga Gal says.
