“I am very happy that our coach is giving us this chance,” says Paxten Aaronson. He refers to PSV, where coach Peter Bosz did not give Ricardo Pepi and Malik Tillman permission to participate in the Games on behalf of the US. Aaronson does not mind missing part of the preparation. “I will soon be playing matches for 60,000 spectators instead of practice matches for a maximum of 1,000 people. And I will come back top fit, so I can join right back in after the Games.”
