According to freelance photographer Pontus Stenberg, several cars have driven over the center strip in order to change to the northbound direction.
– There was even a truck that did it.
– Some cars have also turned and driven against the traffic to get to an exit and get off the E4, says Pontus Stenberg.
The planned paving work is carried out on the E4 from the Jönåker interchange outside Nyköping to Grantorp, which is located at the county border between Sörmland and Östergötland.
The road is completely closed to the south and traffic is diverted via road 800. This has led to extensive queues.
The coating work will continue until July 12.
