French President Emmanuel Macron has decided to dissolve the Parliament and call early elections, with the first round to be held on June 30 and the second round to be held on July 7.
According to exit polls in the first round of the election, the far-right National Rally (RN) party received 34 percent of the votes in the first round.
The New People’s Front Alliance, formed by left-wing and environmentalist parties, came in second with 28 percent.
President Emmanuel Macron’s “Together for the Republic” alliance came in third with around 20 percent of the votes.

The second round of the elections was held today. The left alliance came in first place, the Macron alliance came in second, and the far right, which won the first round, fell to third place.
