It was during the weekend that Stina Odencrantz and her partner parked his car in a visitor parking lot in Örebro.
When they returned to the car, they discovered a yellow note under the windshield wiper, which Nerikes Allehanda be the first to tell.
At first glance, it appeared to be a normal parking ticket, but when they took a closer look at the ticket, they saw that everything was wrong.
– I saw that the remark was not correct and the amount seemed wrong, she says News24.

New fraud method: “Didn’t think it was fake”
When Nyheter24 reaches Stina Odencrants, she says that the scammers’ note was a clever imitation of a real fine, but when she then searched the police’s website to appeal, she discovered that it was fake.
– I didn’t think it was fake at first. But when I didn’t get the ocr number linked to my registration number on the police website to appeal, and that the times were wrong and the amount was too high, I suspected something. I then called Örebro municipality when three days had passed, she says.

Örebro municipality: “It was fake”
When Stina Odencrants got in touch with Örebro municipality, they confirmed that there were no parking attendants on duty during the evening in question, something that further strengthened the theory that she was the victim of a fraud attempt.
– They then asked me to send in a picture of the parking notice and then replied that it was fake, she says and adds:
– They probably know the fraud method, but I can’t answer for them.
She has now reported the incident to the police and wants to warn others about the new fraud method.
– First check that the remark is incorrect and that the amount is incorrect. The real one from Örebro municipality has a bank transfer on the back and more text on the back than mine had.
