(Telestock) – Anas, a company of the Infrastructure Hub of the FS Group, he delivered it Excerpt 1 of the First Lot of the Maglie-Santa Maria di Leuca Itinerary along the state road 275 of Santa Maria di Leuca. The works, from km 0 to km 10.5, from Melpignano to Scorrano, were delivered in the presence, among others, of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, of the Minister for European Affairs, the South and Cohesion Policies and the PNRR Raffaele Fitto, of the President of the Puglia Region Michele Emiliano, of the Mayor of the Municipality of Maglie Ernesto Toma, of the prefect of Lecce Luca Rotondi, of theCEO of Anas Aldo Isi he was born in Extraordinary Government Commissioner and Head of the Puglia Territorial Structure of Anas Vincenzo Marzi.
“The intervention is highly anticipated by the territory – he declared Marches – is aimed at improving the safety and services of the state road 275 Maglie-Leuca in the territories from Melpignano to Miggiano. I was appointed Commissioner in August 2021 and immediately, thanks to the efforts of all the actors involved and the availability of the territory, we managed to restart the procedural process that was experiencing a moment of stagnation”.
The Maglie-Leuca route
The intervention of Maglie-Leuca made it necessary for Anas to review the project to respond to the changed design needs in terms of technical-economic sustainability and in relation to changes in the context, including regulatory, of reference. It was decided to proceed with the construction of the works by functional lots, with the consequent need for a new evaluation and authorization by the competent authorities.
Once the design review of the First Lot was completed, the Decision-making Service Conference on the final project was called in May 2022. Once the authorization process was also completed, the executive design was started, which led Anas to publish the tender in June last year. Today’s is an important milestone, but also a starting point to make a territory like Puglia increasingly welcoming and efficient.
The technical details of the work
The intervention is divided into two lots. The first lot has been divided, for the purposes of the contracting of the works, into three functional sections:
The 1st excerpt, to be delivered today, it extends from km 0 to approximately km 10.5 (from Melpignano to Scorrano) for a total amount of almost 178 million. The 1st section crosses the territories of the province of Lecce and involves 4 municipalities (Melpignano, Maglie, Muro Leccese and Scorrano).
The 2nd excerpt It starts from approximately km 10.5 and arrives at km 18.140 (from Botrugno to Surano), for a total contract value of approximately 82 million euros.
The 3rd excerpt it goes from km 18.140 to km 23.3 approximately (from Surano to the Tricase-Specchia-Miggiano industrial area) for a total contract value of almost 57 million euros.
Anas investments in Puglia
The delivery of the Maglie-Leuca works was also an opportunity to talk about Anas’ commitment in the region. Puglia as a whole is a strategic region for Anas among the most requested tourist destinations and therefore among the most affected by local and non-local traffic flows in view of the imminent summer travel. “Anas in Puglia manages 1,493 km of roads – declared Isi – and we are significantly committed both to the construction of new works and to scheduled maintenance of the network for a total of 3.98 billion euros of investments, of which 3.66 billion for new works (under construction and future), and over 315 million for scheduled maintenance of existing infrastructures”.
